Learning Objectives
Young Achievers Chosen Generation’s area of concentration is homework completion. YACG believes that homework is very important for a child’s daily learning comprehension. Our teachers are the catalyst support in assisting the child to master their self-confidence in their academic achievement. Nonetheless, YACG believes that performing arts is a vital educational integration that will assist our children in exploring their genuine talents and gifts. YACG also believes that children grow and develop best when supplied with an education filled with multicultural activities including but not limited to:
- arts & crafts
- musical/dance
- skits & performances
- indoor/outdoor games
- science activities
- dramatic play
- conflict resoulution/group discussions
- health/nutrition education
Operational Objectives
YACG provides a wide variety of educational activities hosted within the Philadelphia school buildings between the hours of 2:45 pm to 5:45 pm, early dismissals from 11:30 am to 5:45 pm, and during parent-teacher conferences. During homework activity, YACG staff are available to supervise the homework area and assist children with their homework. Although we encourage the children to do their homework during homework time, it is the responsibility of the child to use the time set aside to complete their homework. Instructors will not be responsible for checking agendas or making sure all items are correct. This is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian. Children will do homework, engage in self-discovery play, negotiate rules of positive behavior with peers, and most importantly, have FUN!
