*While in the environment of our homework activities, our staff provides an education integrated with a mentoring component.
*While Teachers assist youth with comprehending homework and completing assignments, teachers bring about a mentoring awakening to help the child see that he/she is fundamentally worthy. We believe youth grow and develop best when supplied with an integrated educational mentoring component.
AWAKENING MENTORING STRATEGIES:
(1) – SELF-WORTH is the foundation of a child’s healthy development (e.g., imagine the strength of the trunk and roots of a tree). Thus, Self-worth is something we need to learn and strengthen, for without it, we become like doormats.
As a child recognizes that he/she is of value and lovable, the sense of self-esteem will develop healthy believing of one’s own gifts and talents. Healthy confidence of worth of a child’s innermost self will grow within feelings of achievement and self-respect.
