Our Mission
YOUNG ACHIEVERS CHOSEN GENERATION’S mission is to serve all families including—but not limited to—disadvantaged and underserved populations, parents, and their youth-at-risk. YACG provides a nurturing and safe environment to youth from Kindergarten through Eighth graders with quality Before/After School and Summer Camp educational programming. YACG promotes children’s physical, emotional, cognitive and social skills.
YACG’s commitment is to keep children safe while their families are working. During the out-of-school time, YACG’s mission is to facilitate the youth with a wide variety of educational activities hosted within the Philadelphia School Building. YACG’s hours of operation are between 2:45 pm and 5:45 pm, and Early Dismissals from 11:45 am to 5:45 pm. YACG believes that children grow and develop best when supplied with educational and multicultural activities such as: arts & crafts, musical/dance skits & performing arts, indoor/outdoor games, science activities, dramatic play, conflict resolution and group discussions. Children will do homework, engage in self-discovery play, negotiate rules of positive behavior with peers, and most importantly, have FUN!
Before School
Our program provides a service in the morning from 7:15 am for parents that need to be at work bright and early. We provide a secure place for children to be before the bell rings. This allows for extra study and homework time.
After School
The hours of operation run from 2:45 pm to 5:45 pm (for more details, see your child registration form). Our hours of service include scheduled Early Dismissals during parent/teacher conferences. Youth will receive a daily snack prior to engaging in homework and other activities.
Summer Camp Program
YACG has an exciting, educational, and FUN 7-week summer camp. Interested families can contact the YACG administration for more information.
